I want to express my sincerest thanks to Laura Crandall of New Jersey, whose tireless efforts over the years made this possible. I also want to remember the late Senator Frank Lautenberg, who was the original Senate sponsor of this bill and a powerful voice for the tens of thousands of families affected by stillbirth, SUID and SUDC every year.” The “Sudden Unexpected Death Data Enhancement and Awareness Act,” H.R. 669, will enhance awareness and provide for consistent data collection related to stillbirth, SUID and SUDC, which affects nearly 30,000 families each year.
