Payne, Jr. (NJ-10) today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded $2,262,719 to support Head Start and Early Head Start programs at the East Orange Child Development Corporation. “We all know how important it is to have Early Head Start and Head Start programs to give disadvantaged children the extra boost they need to have a fair shot at success,” said Congressman Payne, Jr. “This funding will help ensure the East Orange Child Development Corporation has the resources to continue providing services essential to making a profound difference in the lives of children in our community.” The East Orange Child Development Corporation provides comprehensive child care services, including education and counseling, to children, families, and the community of East Orange, New Jersey. Head Start and Early Head Start provide comprehensive child development programs for low-income children and their families.
