Participating in things like skiing, fly fishing, and archery offers these veterans many physical and emotional benefits while being a great way to enjoy what Maine has to offer. I applaud these groups for working to accommodate these veterans needs and am excited that this funding will help them connect more veterans with great recreational opportunities. With offices in New Gloucester, the New EnglandNordic Ski Association is receiving a $50,000 grant to offer adaptive Nordic skiing, biathlon, fly fishing, archery, and kayaking programs throughout New England. Pineland Farms in New Gloucester is receiving a$51,009 grant to provide adaptive programs in basketball, tennis, Nordic skiing, snow shoeing, fly fishing, archery and disc golf in Maine and New Hampshire.
