Mark Pocan. “Most egregious is the inclusion of a provision that loosened consumer protection regulations in the Dodd-Frank reform law and allows Wall Street to engage in many of the same risky practices that crashed the global economy in 2008. The bill also weakens campaign finance limits clearing the way for more corporate money into politics. Sneaking these changes through in a 1600 page funding bill hours before a government shutdown and adjourning for the rest of the year is not the way the American people expect us to govern.
