http://sablan.house.gov/press-release/global-entry-can-speed-immigration-korean-visitors Global Entry can speed immigration for Korean visitors 2013-08-20 2013 2013-08 Independent Senate MP Gregorio Sablan S001177 sablan.house.gov     legacy Global Entry can speed immigration for Korean visitors Aug 20, 2013 U.S. Customs and Border Patrol has announced that citizens of the Republic of Korea are now eligible for the Global Entry program, which allows trusted travelers faster entry at 34 airports in the U.S., including Saipan International.  These pre-approved, low-risk travelers bypass traditional CBP screening and use an automated kiosk instead.  Citizens of Korea who participate in their own country’s Smart Entry System may apply for the Global Entry benefit.  There is an online application, a $100 fee, and an in-person interview required, usually at a CBP enrollment center.  The Northern Marianas does not yet have an enrollment center, although CBP does hold mobile enrollment events and plans one for Seoul in the near future.  Hospitality is essential to a successful tourist economy.  Everything that makes our guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive or that makes travel easier for the Korean business people, who manage and invest in the tourism industry, is helpful to us all. 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
