White House interns gain valuable professional experience and build leadership skills in a remarkable environment. An applicant must be a US citizen, 18 years of age on or before the first day of the internship, and either currently enrolled or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program at a college, community college, or university. Veterans of the US Armed Forces, who have a high school diploma or its equivalent and have served on active duty in the two years preceding the first day of the internship, are also eligible.
