Whether it’s trade moving through our ports or tourism along our coastline, our waterways are fundamental natural assets. The bill authorizes $231,239,000 in federal funding for the Port of Charleston harbor deepening project and $31,939,000 for beach re-nourishment for Edisto Island. “What’s notable about the bill is not only which projects were authorized but the way those projects were approved. The WIIN Act’s passage and signing into law shows the federal government can responsibly fund infrastructure projects – something that’s more so a novelty in Washington today. “Indeed, the WIIN Act is a win with regard to process, and accordingly, I look forward to carrying this momentum into the 115th Congress.” | 1 | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z |
