The two brothers travelled from their hometown Dayton, Ohio to Kitty Hawk, North Carolina in order to test their invention. The first flight lasted 12 seconds. A coin toss decided that Wilbur Wright would be the first to fly their new creation. The Wright Brothers are commemorated for their ingenuity that propelled them to do something once believed to be unimaginable.
