The impeachment inquiry report details the scope of this misconduct, including the President's abuse of power for his own political gain and his unprecedented obstruction of the investigation. Now, the House Judiciary Committee has the profoundly solemn responsibility of determining whether the offenses amount to impeachable offenses. "I took an oath of office to put the interests of the nation above my own, just as my late father did 75 years ago when he fought for our nation in the Battle of the Bulge. Our Constitution lays out the remedy for violations of this oath and abuses of power, including bribery, and prescribes this authority to Congress.
