The funding is to be used for the creation of work and presentation of both new and existing work, lifelong learning in the arts, or public engagement with the arts. Congressman Tiberi is a member of the National Council on the Arts, the advisory committee for the chair of the NEA. I congratulate these two organizations and all the recipients of National Endowment for the Arts grants. The arts have had a profound impact on my life, and I hope that these grants help provide opportunities for people to enjoy the beauty and inspiration art can offer, said Congressman Tiberi. The following recipients are in located in the 12th Congressional District: Wexner Center Foundation: ($25,000) To support a series of residencies and commissions for artists. In addition to residency activities, the artists will participate in lectures, discussions, and master classes. Otterbein University: ($20,000) To support the exhibition An Island Apart: Cuban Artists in Exile. Accompanying programming will include a video work and lecture by artist and educator Coco Fusco, and an artist led-community installation by resident artist Juan-Si Gonzalez.
