http://timryan.house.gov/press-release/congressman-tim-ryan-votes-support-five-year-highway-bill-and-reauthorization-export Congressman Tim Ryan Votes in Support of Five-Year Highway Bill and the Reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank 2015-12-03 2015 2015-12 Democrat House OH Tim Ryan R000577 timryan.house.gov     legacy Washington, DC Congressman Tim Ryan today voted in favor of the bipartisan conference report on Fixing Americas Surface Transportation Act a measure providing $281 billion in funding and reauthorizing highway, bridge, transportation safety, and public transit projects for the next five years. The bill also reauthorizes the Export-Import Bank for four years, providing important financing that helps Americas small businesses export products around the world. It was time for Congress to stop passing short-term extensions and give our state and local governments the tools and the stability they need to move infrastructure projects forward, said Congressman Ryan. Too many communities are suffering from aging roads and bridges and I am pleased that this bill will provide the funds necessary to rebuild our countrys transportation portals and help put Americans back to work. This bill also provides additional stability and security when it comes to the reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank, which is necessary to allow Americas exporting companies to secure the financing needed to keep them competitive in a global economy. There is no doubt that this legislation is a step in the right direction in removing the uncertainty that has plagued both our transportation and business industries for too long, and instead helps generate new economic growth. 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
