http://titus.house.gov//press-releases/titus-announces-41-million-in-federal-funds-to-promote-early-childhood-education Titus Announces $4.1 Million in Federal Funds to Promote Early Childhood Education Program for Underserved Youth 2015-02-02 2015 2015-02 Democrat House NV Dina Titus T000468 titus.house.gov     legacy February 2, 2015 Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada’s First District announced that the Department of Health and Human Services will award over $4.1 million in federal grant funding to the Sunrise Children’s Foundation in Las Vegas for the promotion of their Early Head Start Program. This critically important program promotes comprehensive early childhood development for low-income families of Las Vegas. The program serves both expectant mothers and their children with a focus on newborns and toddlers.   “Too many under privileged children start primary school already behind their peers. That’s why it is so important that we increase access to programs like Early Head Start so all children can receive the critical education, health, and nutrition services they need to prepare for school,” said Congresswoman Titus. “I commend the Sunrise Children’s Foundation for its commitment to the babies of Las Vegas. Our children will shape our future, so we in turn must do our best to equip them from an early age to do so. We must continue to invest in high quality programs, such as the Early Head Start Program at the Sunrise Children’s Foundation, not just so we can see improvements in these children today, but so we can see improvement in our nation tomorrow.  I am sure that this grant will allow the Sunrise Children’s Foundation to help many more children in the year to come.” 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
