The veto override passed the House by a 348-77 vote and the Senate by a 97-1 vote.“The families of the victims of September 11, 2001 have suffered an unthinkable loss and their pursuit of justice has been tireless. These families deserve every opportunity to seek recourse in our courts of law against those who were behind the deadliest terror attack in our nation’s history. The President’s veto was deeply disappointing, but thanks to today’s bipartisan action, we stood on the side of justice for victims and accountability for those who aid and abet terrorism,” said Walberg.
