Attorney General Herrings action to terminate Virginias concealed carry reciprocity means that every person in the state is subject to the same uniform standards. With porous state lines, the strongest gun laws are only as effective as the weakest. It is unfortunate that efforts to keep Americans safe from the scourge of gun violence have fallen to the states, as Congress has repeatedly failed to act.
