The Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act, which I was proud to help usher through the Intelligence Committee, allows the public and private sectors to voluntarily share information about emerging cyber threats without running the risk of costly liability suits. If enacted, the measure will enhance our cybersecurity, while ensuring that we protect the privacy rights of individuals. The bill also includes provisions from a measure I co-sponsored, the Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act, to support and strengthen the Visa Waiver Program and help prevent terrorists from entering the country and carrying out attacks within our borders. Today, we are facing more threats, coming from more places, than ever before. I will continue working to advance legislation that puts our national security and the safety of the American people first.
