Texas County Memorial Hospital – The DRA’s investment will help expand and improve access to quality health care for the area’s rural communities by replacing an outdated surgery area. 911 Service in Carter, Ripley, and Wayne Counties – DRA resources will be used for emergency response modernization efforts aimed at lowering response times within these three counties. Dorena - Hickman Tug and Barge System – DRA investments will strengthen transportation infrastructure by helping to repair and improve the region’s tug and barge system. Last month, Blunt announced that the DRA will invest $1.25 million to enhance the New Bourbon Port and repair damage to the Ste. Genevieve Levee District II levee caused by last year’s flooding. Blunt was instrumental in securing resources for the projects, which will improve flood control infrastructure to protect families and small businesses, and support economic growth in Ste.
