This bill authorizes resources for the most critical and economically-beneficial projects, and holds the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers accountable to the Table Rock Lake community. I’m glad to see several Missouri priorities reflected in the bill, and I urge the president to sign it without delay.”Following Are the Blunt-Backed Missouri Priorities Included in the WRDA Bill: Missouri Projects – The bill authorizes critical Missouri projects backed by Blunt, including much-needed improvements for Kansas City Levees, the Turkey Creek Basin, the Swope Park Industrial Area, and the Blue River Basin. These flood control projects will protect families and businesses. Table Rock Lake – The bill extends the comment period and time frame for the planned Shoreline Management Plan revision at Table Rock Lake, and lifts the permit moratorium. Cooperative Joint Management Act – The bill includes the Blunt-backed Corps of Engineers Cooperative Joint Management Restoration Act. This provision re-establishes the Corps of Engineers’ practice of allowing cooperating partners managing Corps recreational facilities to keep the user fees collected and apply them to site maintenance and operations. Small Ports – The bill makes permanent a set aside in funding to dredge small ports, first created in the 2014 WRDA bill.
