On Sunday, Blunt attended St. John’s United Church of Christ in St. Louis, Mo., where he met with Reverend Starsky Wilson and spoke with other congregation members. Blunt also toured Ferguson with St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar and Missouri State Highway Patrol Capt. Ron Johnson, and he met with local law enforcement officials and National Guard members. On Monday, Blunt met with the co-chairs of the Ferguson Commission, Rich McClure and Reverend Wilson. Also in attendance for the discussion were Missouri House of Representatives Majority Leader and Speaker-Designee, John Diehl, and Executive Director of Civic Progress St. Louis, Tom Irwin. “I’m confident that the commitment of the co-chairs of the Ferguson Commission – along with the work of other local leaders and the Missouri General Assembly – will have a very positive impact as this community works to move forward,” said Blunt. “I was glad to hear from a number of area residents, as well as law enforcement and National Guard members who are working to protect local homes and businesses. I continue to believe that we all share the goal of peacefully healing and rebuilding the community after months of unrest,” Blunt concluded. # # # 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
