In the letter, the Senators highlight several of Missouri’s positive attributes, including the state’s skilled workforce, “tremendous partnerships that exist between the business community and education entities,” and major transportation modes, which allow businesses to benefit from global access and remain competitive in the international marketplace. “The more than 15,000 Boeing employees already in the State of Missouri are a great example of the skill, commitment, innovation, and tremendous work ethic that exists in Missouri,” the Senators wrote. “… The Boeing Company already has a history and strong foundation to build upon in our state. We are confident that choosing Missouri for the 777X long-haul aircraft would be a strong, long-term investment for The Boeing Company,” the Senators continued.
