Todays award is a continuation of CCCCs five-year project, which began in 2014 and serves the Spirit Lake Tribe. The well-being of children is a vital component of healthy and successful communities, said Hoeven. Todays award will support continued education, health and nutrition services for children and families in the Spirit Lake community and will lay a strong foundation for their future success. Todays funds come in addition to a $3.1 million loan from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which Hoeven announced last month.
