Warner and Tim Kaine announced $10,022,292 in federal funding through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for Virginia health centers. This federal fundingwill support centers who are doing life-saving work in their communities during the ongoing health crisis,the Senators said.We're pleased to see these federal dollars go towards supporting Virginia health centers. The following organizations will receive funding: Recipient City Amount Johnson Health Center Lynchburg $1,597,851 Southern Dominion Health Systems, Inc. Victoria $1,288,427 Peninsula Institute For Community Health, Inc. Newport News $3,464,307 Vernon J. Harris East End Community Health Center Richmond $2,648,674 Blue Ridge Medical Center, Inc. Arrington $1,023,033 Total: $10,022,292 This funding was awarded through the Health Resources and Services Administration's Health Center Program, which provides funds to community-based health care providers that provide primary care services in underserved areas.
