Hopefully the exploratory nature of this meeting, as part of the FMCS process, will present an opportunity for the parties to re-engage in dialogue. Thousands of Vermonters and customers throughout New England rely on FairPoint for their businesses, residential, and emergency services. Customers, workers, friends, and neighbors are affected by this standoff. A lengthy impasse benefits no one.
