Too many of our returning service members confront homelessness, mental health issues, and even deportations. We must work together to build a society where our veterans do not have to face these injustices. In my view, it is a disgrace that 38,000 veterans are homeless. If you can't afford to take care of your veterans, then you do not go to war. We must use this day to recommit to protecting our veterans' health care. Veterans overwhelmingly approve of the VAthat means we need to strengthen the VA, not dismantle or privatize it.
