While HI-EMA has been asked to do much more this year with a lot less revenue, this new funding will give the state more resources to continue their critical work and protect Hawaii residents from disasters, said Senator Schatz. To date, Hawaii has received more than a half a billion dollars in total federal relief funding to recover from the 2018 natural disasters. ### 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
